USC QB Caleb Williams

It appears the Chicago Bears have learned a very hard lesson from the 2017 NFL draft by choosing Mitchell Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes and will not make that mistake again. Caleb Williams has announced he will leave USC and enter the 2024 NFL draft. Williams with his style of play is often mentioned as the second coming of Patrick Mahomes. Williams is also thought and compared by many to be the best QB in the 2024 draft.

Chicago Bears Predicted To Select Caleb Williams

In 2017 the Chiefs had a first-round pick and traded up to number 10 to work out a deal with the Bears to acquire Mahomes. The deal was done and the Chicago Bears had their hearts set on Trubisky and made him the first-pick of the 2017 NFL draft and their first choice for their QB for the future. However, looking back that was a really bad choice. Mahomes went on to become the premier QB of the NFL by winning 2 out of the last 3 Super Bowls and competing in 3 out of 5 Super Bowls. Mahomes and the Chiefs are now a dynasty and going for an unprecedented three-peat while Trubisky is still trying to find his place in the NFL.

Williams Declared Eligible For 2024 NFL Draft

The Bears currently have Justin Fields as their QB and his career with the Bears is totally up in the air. All reports and insiders believe that Fields will be traded when the free agency market opens for players that can help the team in other areas. However, no deal has been made. But the one thing you can be sure of barring any unforeseen event, Caleb Williams will be the Chicago Bears number one pick of the 2024 NFL draft.
